The town of Bozrah was incorporated in 1786 and now has a population of 2,401 and an area of 20 square miles. Bozrah is unique in maintaining its rural charm while growing its commercial and industrial areas.

 

We are situated on Connecticut Rte. 2 and minutes from I-395.

 

The commmunity is bordered by the City of Norwich and has a commercial growth area on Rte. 82 into the city. Planning and zoning is in place to allow for growth in areas with easy access to highways and infrastrcuture. Most commercial and industrial areas are served by municipal water and the entire town is served by Bozrah Light and Power, an electric utility owned by the City of Groton. The selectman/town meeting form of government allows for easy access to developers and a speedy permit process. We have available for development sites from a few acres to over 100 acres.

Hours of operation:
Town Hall is open Monday - Friday from 9am to 4pm for the Selectman and most Saturdays from 8-11am. Town Clerk is available Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm and on Fridays from 9am to noon.

 

Directions:
The Town of Bozrah is in the northern end of New London County to the west of Norwich. Its main access Roads are East /West Rte 2, and North/South Rte. 163. Exit 23 off Rte 2 intersects with Rte. 163.
