The SouthEastern Connecticut Enterprise Region provides the private and public sectors with a wide range of economic development services for job creation, business attraction and retention, and diversification.  The Economic Development and Marketing Department is a first stop for businesses and regional communities in finding development assistance.  It focuses on locating sites for new and existing businesses; coordinating assistance among federal, state, regional and local planning, development and funding agencies;  and providing a variety of market, demographic, and other research. 

 

The department also manages the corporation's web site and social media; communications; branding and sales.  Representatives maintain a database of regional businesses and are actively engaged in working with the Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA), Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition (SCCC), Eastern CT Tourism District, and Southeastern CT Enterpreneurs Network (SECTen) and the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Eastern CT Realtors group.

 

The Economic Development and Marketing Committee of seCTer, guides departmental activities and plans strategies and events including: occasional Site Selectors Tours; Business Visitation; and Sales events.  Meetings are held the 4th Thursday of the month with the exception of November.
