For example the Maritime Cluster includes Mystic Seaport Museum (also a Tourism entity); General Dynamics/Electric Boat, a high-tech manufacture of nuclear submarines for the Defense Department; the Coast Guard Academy and Naval Subase New London (both Defense installations), and the Fishing and Aqua-culture industries (Agricultural businesses). This, and other overlaps add additional strength to southeast CT’s overall economic vitality.
