Sprague
About Sprague
Sprague’s most important resource is the Shetucket River and the people who have lived on it for generations. Sprague residents are proud of their town and its unsurpassed natural beauty and history, located as it is in the Quinebaug-Shetucket Heritage Corridor/Last Green Valley. Sprague currently boasts over 600 acres of Town-owned open space, including over 1.5 miles of river frontage and a large reservoir. Because Sprague is a little more “out of the way” than its neighbors to the south it has had the advantage of learning from other towns and initiating forward-thinking planning giving conservation, responsible growth, and quality of life issues the highest priority.
